“The last six months, working with Callum has been a truly life changing experience for me. I was anxious and increasingly losing confidence in every part of my life. I had suffered two close family bereavements in a very short period of time and was beginning to doubt that I had the personal strength and resilience I needed to move forward. Gently, with humour, patience and skilful challenges Callum guided me through a maze of issues leading me to some amazing, and in some cases totally unexpected discoveries and insights that mean my self confidence and joy in life has returned. I really wish I had been brave enough to take this step many years ago.”

“Having suffered with depression for a number of years and it affecting various aspects of my life I decided to seek help through counselling. From the moment I met Callum I felt comfortable and welcome enough to open up and discuss things about my life that I wouldn’t necessarily tell those closest to me. I was a sceptic when I entered the room for the first time, but now on the other side of the experience, I stand a significantly more confident and strong person. Callum helped me discover who I really am, and the value I bring to those around me and to myself. He and I did this in a relaxed, calm, completely non-judgemental way, allowing me to be totally open and honest with all my thoughts and feelings. My counselling with Callum has been a truly life changing experience, only for the better and I genuinely wish I’d found him and used his counselling a long time ago.”

“Callum helped me through what was probably the hardest and most unpleasant experience I had ever undergone. Callum guided me through the many emotions I was experiencing from workplace bullying and helped me reach a stage where I could tie the feelings together and recognise the root cause. Having gotten that far he then supported me in realising that the anxiety and stress I was feeling were to be expected and helped me channel those feelings into eventually reaching a calm and productive stage of acceptance of where I was and how to move forwards. Our sessions were relaxed, calming and even amusing at times. I always felt safe, supported and I left feeling stronger and more confident than I was when I went in.”

How I Work

I have an FdA in Humanistic Counselling with Transactional Analysis. This means that I am trained in recognising the personal growth potential in all of us, to offer a non-judgmental environment to explore this in and to work with you to explore how your past has influenced the decisions you’ve made and how you interact with others.

My training since has largely been about the importance of the client / counsellor relationship, gaining a BSc in Reflective Therapeutic Practice from Metanoia and most recently an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy from Re-Vision.
